Staged a dog party using well-behaved dogs from the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society before hundreds of conference attendees to promote her Dog Parties book. All three dogs got adopted. Appeared at Barnes & Nobles stores in San Diego County, drawing crowds for engaging talks on healthy ways to pamper dogs and cats.
Animal Shelters: Conducted two public workshops for pet lovers in Colorado at the Denver Dumb Friends League, one of the nation’s oldest and largest animal shelters. Served up free samples from her Real Food for Dogs book at the Friends of the Long Beach Animal Shelter’s annual walk-a-thon. Staged an “Ask the Pet Expert” session with proceeds donated to the Seal Beach Animal Care Center.
Magazine Editors: Presented how to interview effectively and write clearly for magazines to magazine editors of sorority publications from all over the country at the National Pan-Hellenic Conference in Palm Springs, California.
